Welcome

Enroll in our Emotional Support Animal Psycho-educational Course, an online self-study program, and complete the training at your own convenience. Our course is designed to help you understand the definitions and differences between Emotional Support Animals and Service Animals.

You will learn about the benefits of Emotional Support Animals, who benefits the most from them, and the legal rights that allow Mental Health Professionals to prescribe Emotional Support Animals. Additionally, the course covers the recent changes in airline policies, which no longer require them to accommodate Emotional Support Animals. This course is an excellent overview of the considerations that Mental Health Professionals should keep in mind before writing an ESA letter.

It is common to see people walking around with their pets in today's society. The high chances are that the pets might be emotional support animals. People who love pets can attest to the benefits of emotional support animals to their mental health (HoyGerlach, 2019).

An emotional support animal is an animal companion that helps and benefits individuals, especially those with disabilities and those who love pets. The animal aims to give companionship and support while alleviating at least one part of the impairment.

Emotional support animals most commonly come in the form of dogs, although cats are also famous. Other animals, such as miniature horses, can also be used as ESAs (Abdulkareem, 2021). This paper aims to address emotional support animals, their benefit, and prescription laws for emotional support animals. It will also address the ban on airlines from accommodating emotional support animals.
